Odds and Ends

Various thoughts and ramblings today.  I got my crew up and off on time, so that was a good beginning.  I have errands undone from yesterday to finish today.

I want to ask everyone that passes this way to pray for a 4-year old boy named Clay who has been diagnosed with a brain tumor.  The doctors say he does not have long, even with treatment.  Now I know this precious little one will be healed, I just pray it is His Will that he be healed here on earth, that his parents don't have to endure this horrific loss.

On another topic, check out the reasoning behind this will you!?

Hospital takes away Bibles in health move

FREDERICTON, New Brunswick (UPI) -- A Canadian hospital is drawing heat for taking away the Good Book in the interest of good hygiene.

Officials at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital in Fredericton, New Brunswick, removed all Bibles from patients' bedside tables in a quest to control infections, the Canadian Broadcasting Corp. reported Friday.

"We have disinfection processes to disinfect other surfaces, but we don't have anything to disinfect books," said Jane Stafford, a spokesperson for the River Valley Health Authority.

She said other Canadian hospitals had done likewise over the years and assured reporters her hospital has nothing against the Bible.

Still, the decision has raised questions about the hospital's motives.

Less germs, maybe.........but at what cost to total patient care?

I for one am looking forward to what I think will be a good weekend.  Not that we have anything so special planned.  In fact you can't plan ahead with my husband!  All decisions as to what to do are last minute.  Irritates anyone who invites us anywhere no end!

Oh....Pete walked down the pipeline yesterday evening to check on some tree limbs he saw down.  While he was out there he heard some peeping and when he got to looking around he found two more baby chicks!  It was quite a chase getting them with the woods, and the old trucks to ride under, but he and Bubba finally managed to catch them.  So now there are 5 baby chicks in my bathroom!  But the weather here is warming up......and they are eating up a storm.......so we will move them outside this weekend.

If I don't make it back with a post over the weekend.......Have a good, fun, restful, safe one!  And please attend the church of your choosing on Sunday!  They call it the Lord's Day.........give it to him!

  1. You have a good weekend too!  Chicks in your bathroom?  I live on a farm, I know what a mess baby chicks can make!  Bless your heart!

  2. Yeah, I heard about that too.  Taking out the Bibles but not the phone books... After the murder of Terri Schindler (formerly Schiavo) looks like I don't trust any "medical" facility anymore.
